What vaccinations and health records are needed?
Richard sets the requirements for dogs that train with him, so confirm them on the call. In general, dogs should be current on core vaccines such as DHPP and rabies, and boarding often calls for a kennel cough vaccine too.

Dogs training around other dogs and wild birds face more exposure than a house pet. Your veterinarian is the right person to decide what your dog needs, and Richard can tell you what he asks to see.
What the AKC says about vaccines
The AKC describes core vaccines as DHPP, which covers distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus, plus rabies. Puppy shots usually begin at 6 to 8 weeks and continue to about 16 weeks, with boosters later.
The AKC also notes that Bordetella, a main cause of kennel cough, is optional in general but that proof is usually required for boarding, group classes or daycare. It stresses that the decision is between you and your veterinarian.
Bring the paperwork
Ask your veterinarian for a printed record before drop-off. Add notes on allergies, medications, injuries and flea and tick prevention. The what to bring page lists the rest.
This page is general information, not veterinary advice. Richard confirms what he needs for each dog when you book.

Early work is simple play with birds and water. Keep vaccinations on your veterinarian's schedule and read what age to start.
Do I need a health check before board-and-train?
Ask Richard. A veterinary check is a sensible step for any dog starting hard work.
